ENR 1.4 ATS AIRSPACE CLASSIFICATION AND DESCRIPTION

1 ATS AIRSPACE CLASSIFICATION

Finland follows the airspace classification pertaining to the European Commission's implementing rules (EU, SERA) No 923/2012, of which Finland applies airspace categories C, D and G.

2 ATS AIRSPACE DESCRIPTION

The airspace division pertaining to the Finnish air traffic service system and the applicable airspace classification are presented in detail in the following tables.
FLIGHT INFORMATION REGIONS AND CONTROL AREAS (ENR 2.1)
AIR TRAFFIC SERVICES ROUTES (ENR 3)
CONTROLLED AERODROMES / CONTROL ZONES (AD 2.17)
AFIS AERODROMES / FLIGHT INFORMATION ZONES (AD 2.17)
Changes to the operational hours of ATS units are promulgated by NOTAM. In addition, an ATS unit resuming operation outside the published operational hours will inform the aircraft in flight by radio using a general call.
ATS airspace classes are described in sections ENR 2.1 and AD 2.17.
